From a perfect meeting of minds between the big hitters of the DJ and synthesizer industries, the Pioneer Toraiz AS-1 is born. Synth supremo Dave Smith teams up with Pioneer DJ to deliver a compact desktop monophonic analogue synthesizer that will have DJs and electronic musicians alike scrambling for the ‘add to basket’ button!

The cleverly laid out front panel with its touch sensitive 1 octave chromatic keyboard and neat monochrome screen grants access to the same discrete analogue circuity found in the incredible Prophet 6, featuring one powerful voice with 2 VCOs, and a pair of Voltage Controlled Filters, plus Dave Smith’s dual FX engine to further sculpt your sound. A powerful arpeggiator and 64 step sequencer give total rhythmic control over the 495 inspiring preset sounds and 495 user assignable slots you’ll soon be filling up.

When it’s time to head to the studio and get deep, Soundtower Sound Editor LE software unlocks another more intricate layer of sound design possibilities via USB with your computer. But it’s so hard to tear yourself away from the instant sonic gratification of the spectacular Pioneer Toraiz AS-1 that you’ll be back tweaking before long. Already a cult classic.
