The knowledge gained in the development of the RPM 10 with regard to mass and resonance behavior was also used in the further development of the RPM 9 to RPM 9.1. A central metal ground block gives the drive a heavy ground point and serves as a resonance conductor. For the first time, we are using an oversized inverted ceramic bearing in the RPM 9.1. The ceramic bearing ball is ultra-hard and cushioning at the same time. The motor is completely decoupled from the drive by a free-standing base connected to ground. The carbon tube of the 9cc tonearm ideally leads resonances from the pickup into the bearing block.
